Meet The Brabenders – Multiple Centurion and Supreme Owners

(March 24, 2025) Pittsburgh, PA–For the Brabender family, boating isn’t just a pastime, it’s a form of family time. From their first Supreme ZS232 to their latest 2025 Centurion Ri230, they’ve owned four Fineline Industry boats, each playing a role in their family’s passion for wake surfing. Along the way, their boats have become more than just vessels on the water; they’ve been the foundation for unforgettable memories, shared adventures, and even championship victories.

“Our favorite thing to do is surf, and Centurion delivers incredible wave performance compared to other boats we’ve owned,” said Kristen Brabender, the family matriarch.

Boating has been a cornerstone of the Brabender family’s time together. Over the years, their Centurion and Supreme boats have provided more than just a ride—they’ve been the catalyst for countless outdoor adventures, active lifestyles, and lasting memories with friends and family.

“I think we love boating so much because it’s something we can all do together,” said Colin Brabender. “These days, people spend so much time on devices and things that aren’t very fruitful. There’s nothing more exciting than watching your kids conquer new skills. From dropping the rope for the first time to landing new tricks, it’s time well spent with them.”

In 2022, the Brabenders’ oldest daughter, Kendall, started competing with the goal of making it to Worlds. The following year, the entire Brabender family, including their youngest daughter, Claire, joined in the competitions. This past October, Kendall achieved her goal, winning the Female Junior Division at the 2024 World Wake Surfing Championship in Fort Worth, Texas.

“I love being able to see my friends at competitions, and it’s cool to meet other kids my age who love wake surfing,” said Kendall “Keke” Brabender. “I’ve made a lot of friends through the sport. My favorite trick is either a fashion air or a bottom turn to frontside body varial. This year, I want to land a reverse consistently—I’m really close to a switch 3 and want to start landing that too.”

Colin also shared his advice for those considering a Centurion or Supreme boat. “Get out on the water. If you’re into wake surfing, it’s hard to beat a Centurion. I remember trying other boats before Centurion, and they just weren’t impressive. In the four years since we’ve started, the interiors have become as good as—if not better than—everyone else’s. And having a strong relationship with your dealer is invaluable. Every boat will need service at some point, so having someone you can rely on makes all the difference.”
