Supreme Boats Increases Production to Meet Demand with New Georgia Factory
Supreme Boats is increasing production by more than 100% beginning July of 2021.
Valdosta, Georgia (January 14, 2021) – Due to increased demand in the retail market Supreme Boats is increasing production by more than 100% beginning July of 2021 with a move to a state-of-the-art 160,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Valdosta, Georgia.
This Georgia facility is not only an ideal location with boat building talent already in the area, but also a turnkey solution with its existing boat building layout. Supreme Boats will continue building boats in California until the transition in late spring of 2021 to Georgia. Once fully operational in their new home in July of 2021, Supreme Boats will more than double production with the capacity to grow.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Correct Craft and Supreme Boats to the family of outstanding manufacturers that call Georgia home. Boating and water sports play a vital role in our tourism industry in Georgia and, along with other important industry sectors, help create opportunity in our communities,” said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
Centurion & Supreme Boats has now started this second production capacity expansion just six months after the first buildout, to begin to satisfy the staggering demand for Supreme Boats. Centurion & Supreme Boats finished a 20,000 square foot addition in late May of 2020, but with an amazing increase in Supreme brand interest, feverish retail demand for surf and wake boats as well as an unprecedented in-flux of first-time boat buyers, in the last several months the need for a second expansion became urgent.
Paul Singer, president of Centurion & Supreme Boats stated, “We are very excited about the growth opportunity this new Supreme Boats factory brings to both of our brands. It simultaneously allows us to expand our Centurion production capacity in California and gives the Supreme brand a phenomenal opportunity for accelerated growth with its own production facility. The new facility should present powerful growth opportunities for our valued dealer partners.”
Thanks to the efforts of the factory team and dealer network the Supreme brand has hit its stride in tandem with an amazing increased industry-wide demand for towboats. The Supreme ZS Series is the fastest growing value class wake surf boat series with domestic retail registrations up 124.24% for the ZS232 in 2020 compared to 2019 and 30% for the ZS212 in 2020 compared to 2019. This retail demand has been perpetuated by an inspired Supreme Boats Dealer Network who is proving the wake boat dominance of the Supreme ZS232 and ZS212 on the water making lives better for one new Supreme Family member at a time.
With the ZS Series, Supreme has transcended the “Value Class” wake boat segment with supreme levels of surf, wakes and ride that have set the brand on a steep trajectory. This higher path has positioned Supreme as an extremely attractive boating option, especially for buyers new to the water sports boat market. These new boat buyers happen to be the fastest growing segment of the tow boat market currently.
The increased production capacity at the Valdosta, Georgia facility will set the stage for the Supreme model line to be expanded with new product offerings positioned to maximize our dealers’ success. These new Supremes will be revealed to our dealer network in late Spring of 2021 and to the retail public in Summer.
