Three Team Members and Team Coach Win Top Honors

Merced, CA— February 18, 2023 — Winners tapped by the Competitive Wake Surf Association (CWSA) for the past season were recently announced and Centurion and Supreme Boats team surfers topped the list. The CWSA was founded in 2012 with the sole mission of growing wake surfing as a sport throughout the world. CWSA currently has over 3,000 active members in over 40 countries and has created criteria for standardized scoring and ranking of athletes in their division throughout each event up to and including the annual World Wake Surfing Championship.

For 2022, Tyler Stewart won Male Rider of the Year, Whitley Stewart, who was 2022 World Champion, won Female Rider of the Year and Kenzie Hickey won Junior Athlete of the Year. This impressive sweep is no doubt a source of great pride for team coach, Shell Buchner, who won the CWSA Legend Award for 2022.

These talented athletes represent the best of sport and Centurion and Supreme is proud to not just sponsor them but include them in our family. Said Team Coach, Shell Buchner: “I’m very humbled and was not expecting to be considered for the legend awards. I don’t do this for recognition, I do this because I enjoy the love of the sport and the wake surf community. But most of all I enjoy watching everyone grow into the wake surfers they can be.”

Centurion and Supreme Boats are proud to sponsor athletes that embody the spirit of our companies and look forward to honoring their future accomplishments.
